Start a Money Club: Enter the Zone

Money Zones are the heart of the Money Club concept.

Each Money Zone helps you figure out (or at least try to!) a specific financial subject, such as credit card debt, savings, or financial goals.

Each Money Zone has these parts, which you will cover in your meeting:

  • Icebreakers
Icebreakers are short exercises that help you learn more about each other. These are fun (and often very funny) games and questions. Geared to your chosen subject, they will get you laughing and talking in the Zone.

  • Things to Talk About
These are discussion topics for the Zone that will help your group brainstorm ideas and exchange information. This is where you learn and explore and find out how to change your life. Dig into each Zone, and amazing things will happen!

  • Catch Yourself Doing Something Right
Share your recent money triumphs with your fellow group members, and give yourself a pat on the back for all of your hard work!

  • What Will You Do Today?
How will you take action toward your financial dreams? What Small Steps are you going to take before next meeting to move your life forward? In other words, What Will You Do Today?

  • Money Magic
Set an affirmation that will help you stay on track until next meeting. You can use this affirmation to help focus your mind if you start to drift into negative-land.

  • Just For You
This part of the Money Zone is a private exercise you can do by yourself, before next meeting, to learn more about this financial area. No one will see your answers to this section. This is for you and you alone!

  • Additional meetings in the Zone
You may find that your group has a lot to talk about in this Zone, so if you like, schedule the next meeting to continue your discussion, using this same format. You can also delve deeper by having members read the suggested readings, and then go through the discussion points at your next meeting. Or invite an expert to talk to your group about the Zone.
